Scholarship Application Form
The GBTA’s Foundation Industry Advancement Scholarship provides exceptional rising industry leaders with funds to help cover the costs of their undergraduate or graduate tuition for the 2025-2026 academic school year. This inaugural program, launching in 2025 will award over $15,000 in scholarships to high-achieving industry talent.

This application is currently open to Mexico students only, with more regions to follow.

Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements to apply for a GBTA Foundation scholarship:
1. Be interested in pursuing a career in business travel.
2. Be registered at an accredited college or university for the 2025-2026 academic school year.
3. Be a resident of Mexico.
4. Be 18 years or older.
Scoring & Selection Process
The GBTA Foundation Scholarship is awarded to recipients based on merit. The GBTA Foundation Scholarship Committee includes GBTA Foundation Board Members and Foundation staff who review applications annually.

Awarding of Scholarship
The GBTA Foundation Destination Scholarship is to be used for tuition and related fees for the 2025-2026 academic school year only. The recipients of the scholarship must:
- Provide receipt/proof to the funds were sent to an accredited academic institution.
- Complete and share US IRS Form W9 with GBTA Foundation
HOW TO APPLY
A complete scholarship application consists of:
- a complete application form
- a 350-word personal essay
- two letters of reference (one academic and one character)
Please provide contact information for two (2) references (one personal, one professional or academic) who are qualified to evaluate your character, ability, and accomplishments. You are encouraged to select references who really know you and can speak to your experiences, successes, and potential.

An email requesting a letter of recommendation, along with reference requirements, will be sent directly to each of your references to be submitted electronically through this platform. We strongly encourage preparing your references for the request from the application platform. Academic references must be on school letterhead and all letters should be drafted for the GBTA Foundation scholarship opportunity specifically.

All scholarship applicants are responsible for ensuring letters are submitted by the final deadline on November 6, 2025 (late letters will not be accepted). If any of your references are unable to send a letter of recommendation, you can request cancelling the reference and re-submit a new reference.

All application materials must be submitted no later than November 6, 2025 at 11:59pm PT. No deadline exceptions will be awarded.
